Overview of your Barcelona tour:
We will explore Barcelona’s iconic Ramblas and the historic Gothic Quarter, filled with spectacular medieval gothic architecture, including the remains of the Roman-era city walls. It’s also one of the most exciting parts of the city, as it’s home to some of its most famous landmarks, such as the Barcelona Cathedral, famous for its gargoyles statues and other mythical creatures. We’ll uncover the rich history of the gothic centre of Barcelona, which has developed since the Roman period to become the thriving capital of Catalonia as it is today. We’ll visit the Jewish Quarter, known as “The Call”, a collection of streets in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter that were established by a group of Jewish merchants in the X Century. It’s the part of the city where we have the oldest houses! We will end the day with a guided personalized tour of the interior of the Barcelona Cathedral, including access to the cloister and rooftop, to finish our tour with amazing panoramic views of the city!

Itinerary:
- We will begin by exploring El Barri Gòtic (Gothic Neighborhood in Catalonian).
- We’ll then take a stroll down the world-famous La Rambla promenade.
- Later, we’ll see the remains of an ancient Roman cemetery from the II Century.
- We’ll also see the remains of the ancient Roman city walls that rose up to a full 60 feet and boasted 78 towers.
- Along our path, you’ll learn about the stories behind Barcelona landmarks and catalan gothic arquitecture.
- Next, you’ll be able to try your luck at haggling in La Boquería marketplace, and see where locals shop for their produce and meats.
- Afterwards we’ll walk through the Jewish Quarter of Barcelona, a small but vibrant district with several synagogues and other religious sights that honour the important role of Jewish merchants in medieval Barcelona.
- You’ll continue to discover sleepy churchyards, medieval alleyways & crumbling Gothic Palaces.
- At last, we’ll unveil all the secrets of Barcelona Cathedral and its amazing architecture.
